Welcome to the Shaadi & Co. Consignment Program!

At Shaadi & Co., we’re excited to help you sell your beautiful pre-owned wedding, formal and casual attire. Our consignment program is designed to be simple and rewarding. Please read through our policy to learn how it works and how we can best assist you.

Consignment Guidelines:

  • Women's Items: Must be brand new, unworn, or in like-new condition.
  • Children and Men's Items: Only accepting brand new, unworn items.
  • Condition: Ensure your items are free from rips, tears, discoloration, excessive thread pulling, missing stones/pearls, stains, odors, or any damage.
  • Style Trends: Items should be current and in line with today’s fashion trends.

How to Submit Your Items:

  1. Complete the Submission Form: Go to the 'Consign With Us' tab and provide the following details:
    • Name: First and Last Name
    • Email: example@example.com
    • Phone Number: (000) 000-0000
    • Mailing Address: Street Address, Postal/Zip Code
    • Country: Select your country
    • Item Details: Add multiple items and upload 2-3 images per outfit. Use 'Browse Files' or drag and drop files.
    • Agreement: Sign to acknowledge the consignment agreement.
  2. Take Quality Photos:
    • Designer’s website/Instagram pictures (if applicable).
    • Full-length photo of each piece.
    • Picture of the item on a hanger or neatly placed.
    • Detailed photos showing embroidery or special features.
  3. Photo Tips:
    • Background: Use a white backdrop for all photos.
    • Lighting: Ensure photos are well-lit and clearly show the item.

Posting and Listing:

  • Approval Time: Items are posted within 24-48 hours weeks.
  • Item Limit: Post up to 10 items at a time.
  • Listing Duration: Items not sold within 60 days may be removed.

Shipping:

  • Notification: You’ll receive an email when your item sells.
  • Shipping Labels: Create a shipping label via USPS Priority Mail and package your item.
  • Shipping Time: Ship within 1-3 business days and email us the tracking number.

Pricing and Commission:

  • Commission: We retain a 15% commission on each sale.

Payouts:

  • Payment Processing: Payments are sent via Venmo or Zelle 5 days after delivery to ensure no chargebacks or issues arise.

Important Information:

  • Liability: Shaadi & Co. is not responsible for any disputes or issues arising from transactions.
  • Seller Responsibility:
    • Provide accurate information about your items.
    • Refund full return shipping if an order is returned due to negligence or misrepresentation.
    • Obtain a tracking number for all orders to avoid loss due to undeliverable orders or incorrect information.

Consignment - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

Q: What happens if my item doesn’t sell within 60 days? A: Items not sold within 60 days may be removed from our listings without notice. You will be contacted to discuss possible options, such as extending the listing period or returning the item to you.

Q: How do I know if my item is approved for consignment? A: Once you submit the required information and photos, our team will review your items. You will receive an email notification within 2 weeks to confirm whether your items have been approved.

Q: Can I consign more than 10 items at a time? A: Currently, we limit each seller to 10 items at a time to ensure quality and manageability. If you have more items, you can consign them once your current items are sold or removed.

Q: What should I do if I need to update my contact or shipping information? A: If you need to update any information, please contact our customer service team at consign@shaadiandco.com as soon as possible.

Q: How do I handle returns if a customer is not satisfied with their purchase? A: If an item is returned due to negligence or misrepresentation, you are responsible for refunding the full return shipping amount to the customer. Please ensure accurate descriptions and quality photos to minimize returns.

Q: Can I consign items that are slightly used but in excellent condition? A: For women's items, we accept brand new, unworn, or like-new condition items. For children and men's items, we only accept brand new, unworn items. Please ensure items meet these conditions before consigning.

Q: What kind of packaging should I use to ship my sold items? A: Use secure and sturdy packaging to protect the item during transit. We recommend using USPS Priority Mail for its reliability and tracking features. Make sure to email us the tracking number once shipped.

Q: How long does it take to receive my payout after my item is delivered? A: Payments are processed and sent via Venmo or Zelle 5 days after the item has been delivered to the buyer to ensure there are no chargebacks or issues.
